The UAS defence industry has been mainly focussed on the Iraq and Afghanistan theatres.

As those wars wind down, UASs are being used more and more in missions comprising surveillance and action against:

(1) non-state actors in short sharp asymmetric warfare scenarios and

(2) state and non-state actors in territorial protection scenarios.

Autonomous stealthy missile carrying UASs are the systems of choice for these missions.
