UAS Industry Sectors International Autonomous Systems, “IAS”, is the UAS Manufacturing Cluster and Centre of Excellence. It develops, manufactures, integrates and exports Unmanned Aerial Systems, "UASs", to defence, civil and commercial organisations around the world. UAS technologies and applications targeting these three sectors are developing rapidly but significantly differently in the various regions of the world. Geo-politics, regulation and innovation are major contributors to the different speed and direction of development among these sectors and regions. IAS’s portfolio consists of a highly scalable family of advanced carbon composite, all weather, and blended flying-wing airframes which have a wingspan ranging from 1 to 12 meters. All payloads and propulsion systems are plug and play. Payloads include sensors, cameras, communications, autopilots, autonomous intelligent controls, targeting systems, and command and control systems. Propulsion systems include electric, petrol and turbine engines. Ground Command & Control Systems range from sophisticated full featured open software systems through to specialised hand held devices. Take off and recovery systems are exceptionally varied and include hand-launch, catapult and wheel based automatic pilot launch, as well as belly landing, net catches, and wheel based landings. Integrated systems are available with a standard package of payloads, engines, command and control, and take off and recovery subsystems, or customised to meet specific mission requirements. These unique and exceptional features including extraordinary mission flexibility, interoperability, future proofing and low life cycle costs make IAS’s UAS portfolio ideally suited to address the rapidly changing requirements of defence, civil and commercial sectors in various regions of the world.
